Value Added league tables
Here at Swimbridge Primary School we would prefer that league tables for schools did not exist. However, at the moment they do and schools are compared with each other through them. It is good to report therefore that, once again, in the recently published government statistics that we are well within the top 5% nationally. In fact we are 209th out of the 17,642 schools in England, 5th in Devon and top within the North Devon District Council area.
The value added tables compares year 6 performance this year with their results 4 years previously, tracking progress. These statistics need to be treated with care but at least it gives parents, and prospective parents, some indication that individual progress is high at this school.
