30 Apr 2004 - Tibetan Lama visits Swimbridge
Older children are currently studying a contrasting foreign country - Tibet.
We were fortunate today to have the visit of Lama Khyimsar. The children have called him the Smiling Lama. He is able to converse in seven langauages - including fluent English. He explained how he became a refuge from Tibet, what life was like for him as a young child in Tibet and in his refuge camp in India and about his experiences all over the world as a Lama.
We all found his visit very interesting and helpful in understanding a country which is so far away.
