16 Mar 2003 - Comic Relief Day 2003
The day started with a special Comic Relief assembly when the importance of helping others was considered along with how we can all have an impact to change things for the better. We watched the amazing video about the magic stones of Burkina Faso, in west Africa which demonstrated what our fund raising can do.
Many of us brought cakes and buns to sell and eat, we had a red hair sweep stake, there were Comic Relief Maths Puzzle books for sale and much more. Many lessons were linked to Comic Relief, even Maths in Class 4 - if all answers were correct we had the chance to put a red nose on a picture of Tony Blair. Mr Reed said he might be sent to the Tower of London for that; we can but hope!
In the end we raised £130. Not bad for a small school. By the way, can you recognise some of our teachers in the photograph?
