School Self Evaluation

Every school needs to write a self evaluation document - especially for Ofsted Inspectors, but parents and governors might be interested as well.

Latest (2007) Parent and Children's questionnaires are attached.

School self-evaluation is a way for the headteacher, staff and governors to consider where the school's strengths and areas for development lie.

School self-evaluation focuses on the quality of learning and teaching, planning and management, and school leadership and ethos.

Our school self evaluation monitors and evaluates the learning outcomes of the pupil' learning throughout the year in a continuous process through formative and summative assessment. Performance Management, Lesson observation and test data along with monitoring by outside agencies (e.g. LEA and Ofsted) and community questionnaires completed by parents and pupils are all aspects of the school evaluation process.

The self-evaluation information is used to produce our school's Development and Improvement Plan which includes priority issues for planning the following year.
