Europe Quiz Why not use an atlas (or the map below) to help you with these questions set by David Wright, former geographer lecturer at Keswick Hall College, Norwich. Amongst his first students was Mr Reed, our headteacher, who seems very interested in maths, music and ... geography.
David Wright has compiled a number of atlases some of which we use at our school.
1. A EUROPE ALPHABET
Can you find these countries?
A________ is between Germany and Hungary.
B________ is between Romania and Greece.
C________ is between Germany and Poland.
D________ is north of Germany
E________ is south of Finland
F________ is north of Spain
G________ is west of Poland
H________ is east of Austria
I________ is west of Norway

2. LET'S FLY ACROSS EUROPE
a) Fly EAST across Europe along latitude 45º North.
Start in FRANCE. You will see EIGHT countries as you fly east, until you reach the Caspian Sea:
France; I____; (Adriatic Sea) C______; B________; Y_________; R______; (Black Sea) U______;
R______ (Caspian Sea).
b) Fly SOUTH along longitude 25º East.
Start in NORWAY. You will see TEN countries between the Arctic Ocean and the sunny Aegean Sea:
