To celebrate World Book Day Class 4 wrote some limericks and published in their own book: A World Book of Limericks.

Teddy bears are often so fluffy
You can get some that are quite puffy
You get them in books
You get them from cooks
You can get a teddy called Muffy

I went to see the River Nile
And took with me my old mate Kyle
He slipped into the river
And clogged up his liver
He was dead - floating for a mile.

In an old town called Blink
Lives John - who likes coke to drink
He likes lots of dogs
But doesn't like frogs
And he doesn't likes cats that are pink!

In dismal, dusky, dark Delhi
Lived Sangit, who loved eating jelly
He bought some more
From the lady next door
Who poured it into his wellie!

Sausage and chips are so tasty
But they can sometimes can be a bit pasty
With beans they are nice
Still better with rice
To eat them you should not be too hasty

Was an Indian elephant called Ellie
He loved to eat fruit
And wore a big welly boot
But never ate strawberry jelly
