Harry Potter... and our Christmas Fayre

The end of the Autumn Term saw Swimbridge School immersed in Harry Potter.

There were Harry Potter displays, Harry Potter Maths, Harry Potter Geography and I.C.T and, of course Harry Potter Literacy lessons which involved, amongst other things, writing screenplays from the book, character portraits and even finding active and passive verbs used by J.K. Rowling. A visit to the cinema to compare the book and the film will remain as a highlight of this term.

The end of term brought our immensely successful Christmas Fayre ... with a distictly Harry Potter feel. Many stall holders and a majority of children were dressed as characters from the book. There never were so many Harry Potters all gathered together! One family of five came all dressed as characters.
